Split is an iPhone app that cuts a video or audio file into parts under 20MB, and can join clips back together. This page explains what the app stores, and what it does not do.
Split is published by Mike Shobes. Contact: mikeshobes718@gmail.com.
Split does not create an account and does not upload your files. Cutting and joining happen on your iPhone.
Videos, audio files, cut parts, joined files, and bookmark stills stay on your iPhone. Saved items that you choose to keep live in the Photos album you picked. Split does not send media to a server.
Photos access is optional for sharing from the app, and required if you want Split to save parts, a joined video, or bookmark stills into an album. You can turn it off in iOS Settings. Turning it off does not delete items you already saved in Photos.
Split is a file tool. It does not have a social feed, chat, or accounts. Use it with files you already have on the phone.
Deleting the app removes settings and leftover working files on the phone. It does not remove parts, joined videos, or stills you already saved in Photos. If you want help, email mikeshobes718@gmail.com.
